Kallithea FC (Kallithea, Athens, Greece, in Greek Π.Α.Ε. Γ.Σ. Καλλιθέα) was founded in 1966 from the merger of five local football clubs: Esperos, Iraklis (Hercules), AE Kallitheas and Kallithaikos. A fifth club (Pyrsos) joined the following year (1967). The five stars in the club's logo depict the five founders.
Kallithea FC (in Greek GS Kallithea, Gymnasticos Syllogos Kallithea) started playing in Division 3 in 1966. In 1969 they were promoted to Division 2 and in year 2002 to Division 1. They were relegated after the 2006 season.

In January 2005 the top scorer of the Greek Championship, Theofanis Gekas, was transferred from Kallithea FC to Panathinaikos FC. Kallithea were relegated from the top league in 2006.
