Kostas Karras was a Greek actor and politician.

Karras was born on June 21, 1936, in Athens. He studied acting both at the Drama school of the National Theatre and at the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

Karras made his stage debut, in 1963, in the "Mousetrap" of Agatha Christie.

He made his screen debut in the 1961 film "Who is Margarita?". Throughout the 1960s and 1970s he starred in several Greek films playing a variety of roles. Especially memorable was his performance as Menelaus in the 1977 film "Iphigenia".

Karras also played in several TV serials.

From 2000 until 2007 he served as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament under the banner of New Democracy.

Karras died of cancer on May 6, 2012.

He was married to Angeliki Baroutsou. The couple had a son named Vasilis.
