Lefkosia province is one of the six administrative districts ("provinces") of the Republic of Cyprus. It is the only province of Cyprus that borders the other five. Its capital, Lefkosia, is also the capital of the Republic of Cyprus.
Since 1974, the northern part of the province, as well as the eastern, have been occupied by the Turkish military. A small enclave on the province's northwestern coast, Kokkina, also suffered the same fate.
