Patissia or Patisia is an area 3.5 - 5km north of central Athens. It is split between Ano (Upper) Patissia and Kato (Lower) Patissia.

The area probably received its name from the Turkish sultan (padishah) who visited the area in the 15th century. Other possibilities are that it was named after a Turkish landowner - Padis agha or that it is a corruption of the ancient Batis, or that it is a corruption of Paradisia - its older name.
