In Greek mythology, Procles was a great-great-great-grandson of Heracles and ruler of ancient Sparta.
Procles was born ca. 1100 BC and was the son of Aristodemus. His twin was Eurysthenes, and together they received the land of Lacedaemon after Cresphontes, Temenus and Oxylus captured the Peloponnesus. They ruled together and became the patriarchs of the two ruling families in Sparta - the Eurypontids and the Ageads.
Procles' son was Soos and his grandson Eurypon from whom the Eurypontids were named.
