Samali

Samali is a Greek syrup cake dessert.

Samali is made with semolina, eggs, sugar, baking soda and other ingredients. It is baked and then a sugar-based syrup is poured over it. It is noticeably heavier in consistency than the Revani, another Greek syrup cake.
