Tsoureki (Greek Τσουρέκι) is a Greek sweet bread. By tradition in Greece, it is made and eaten at Easter time.

Tsoureki is similar to the vasilopitta of New Year's Day, though the latter is usually a bit spicier as machlep and mastic can also be used.

It is made with flour, eggs, butter, sugar, yeast, etc., kneaded and allowed to rise. Its shape can vary from circular to entwined braids or even dolls holding a red-coloured Easter egg.

There is a great variety of recipes and shapes of Greek tsoureki depending on the region of Greece as well as personal preferences.
