Andreas Mouratis was a left-side fullback for Olympiakos from 1945 until 1955. He was born in 1926 and was totally illeterate however, his football skills were beyond question or doubt. His hard shot established him as Olympiakos' freekick taker but he was also used as a man marker. The fans nicknamed him "Missouri" after the World War II battleship.
Mouratis was capped 16 times by the Greek National Football Team scoring 1 goal.
He died in December of 2000.
