The Ukraine Expedition was undertaken by the Greek government under Eleftherios Venizelos in 1919 as part of an Allied effort, after World War I, to stem the tide of the October Revolution in Russia.
Two Greek divisions, under Major General Konstantinos Nider, were dispatched to Crimea where they joined French forces.
