Plutarch was Bishop of Byzantium from 89 until 105AD. He succeeded Polycarpus upon the latter's death.
During the episcopacy of Plutarch, persecutions against the Christians took place first under emperor Dometian and later under emperor Trajan.
Plutarch died in 105AD.
