Georgios Papoulias was a Greek diplomat, foreign minister and permanent representative of Greece to the United Nations.

Papoulias entered the diplomatic corps in 1955. He served, among other posts, in New Delhi, Bonn, Paris and Ankara.

He was the permanent representative of Greece to the UN between 1975 and 1978.

He served as Minister for Foreign Affairs twice: in 1989 under PM Ioannis Grivas and again in 1990 under Xenophon Zolotas.
