Averoff Prison was the main prison facility in Greece prior to the erection of the Korydallos Prison.
The facility was built in the 1890s with funds provided by national benefactor Georgios Averoff. It was situated within the city of Athens, at Alexandras Avenue, close to the Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium.
Averoff Prison was torn down in 1971.
