Lymperis was a 27-year old electrician when he was sentenced to death on May 7, 1972 for the murder of his estranged wife, mother-in-law and two kids. According to the prosecution, he set ablaze his house at Metamorphosis Chalandri, dousing the premises with gasoline and torching the place in wee hours of January 5, 1972, while his family members were asleep.
