Yiannis Gionakis (Greek Γιάννης Γκιωνάκης) was a Greek stage and screen comedy actor.

Gionakis was born in Athens in 1922. He studied medicine at the University of Athens but switched to acting, completing his studies at the School of Drama of Karolos Koun.

He debuted in the theatre in 1944 and in motion pictures in 1946. By the time he retired in the 1980s, Gionakis played in over 100 films including "The Girl with the Fairy Tales", "Yellow Gloves", "Aliki in the Navy", "The Barber's Girl", etc.

Gionakis died on August 25, 2002.
