Yiannis Koinis (Greek Γιάννης Κοΐνης) was a Greek athlete who competed in the high jump.
Koinis was born in 1937. He broke the Greek high jump record four times, the last time with 1.96m. In 1955, he won the gold medal in the Balkan Games with a 1.90m performance.
Afterwards, he studied Medicine and received his doctorate in England.
Koinis died in 2001 after a prolonged illness.
