Paphos province is the westernmost of the six provinces of Cyprus. It boasts of being the "birthplace" of Aphrodite, the mythological goddess of beauty and love. In the village of Kouklia, can be found the ruins of Aphrodite's first temple in the Hellenic world. Today the province benefits heavily from the tourist industry, not just for its antiquities but also its modern resorts, hotels, restaurants and other amenities.
