Fani Petralia-Palli, aka Fani Palli-Petralia, is a Greek politician.
Petralia-Palli was born in Athens, in 1943, to a family descended from Divri, Elis prefecture. Her father, Epaminondas Petralias, was an athlete and a member of the International Olympic Committee. She studied Law at the University of Athens Law School and is by profession a lawyer.
Petralia-Palli was first elected to the Hellenic Parliament in 1985, under the banner of New Democracy. She has continually been reelected since.
From February 2006 until September 2007, Petralia-Palli served as Minister for Tourism.
On December 17, 2007, she was appointed Minister for Employment and Social Protection following the resignation of Vasilis Manginas.
Petralia-Palli is a member of the Greek Olympic Committee since 2001.
Personal
Fani Petralia-Palli is married to Nikos Pallis. The couple have four children and eleven grandchildren.
