Andreas Mouratis was a left-side fullback for Olympiakos from 1945 until 1955. He was born in 1926 and was totally illiterate however, his football skills were beyond question or doubt. His hard shot established him as Olympiakos' freekick taker but he was also used as a man marker. The fans nicknamed him "Missouri" after the World War II battleship.

After 1956, Mouratis became, for a while, player/coach of Argonautis, a local Piraeus club.

Mouratis was capped 16 times by the Greek National Football Team scoring 1 goal.

He died on December 10 of 2000.
