Giorgos Semertzidis is a former Greek football forward of the 1970s - 1980s era.

Semertzidis was born οn June 14, 1957 in Nea Santa, Kilkis prefecture. He played for Aris FC from 1976 until 1985 when he was acquired by Olympiakos Piraeus. In December 1987, he returned to Thessaloniki and played with Apollon Kalamaria until the 1993-94 season when he ended his career.

During his playing career, Semertzidis was capped 26 times by the National Football Team of Greece scoring two goals.

After his playing days were over, he coached Aris and the Under-17 National Football Team of Greece. He is currently in charge of Aris' youth academies.
