Megalochori is a village in the municipality of Estieotida, Trikala prefecture, Thessaly, Greece.
The village had a population of 1617 inhabitants according to the 2001 census.
Megalochori is the birthplace of footballer Sotiris Kyrgiakos who, among others, has played for Panathinaikos, Glasgow Rangers, Eintracht Frankfurt, AEK and Liverpool.
