Giorgos Andreou was born in 1936. He was a tough left back for Panathinaikos in the early 1960s. After his career at Panathinaikos was over, Andreou migrated to the United States and coached Greek clubs in the New York area.

He was capped 7 times during his playing career by the Greek National Football Team.
