- 1814: The "Friendly Society" (Filiki Eteria) was founded in Odessa.
- 1943: Greek EKKA guerrilas attacked and defeated a group of German soldiers (5 dead , 20 wounded) at Skaloula.
- 1980: The Greek Ministry of Education announced the abolition of entrance exams from Primary into Secondary schools.
- 1998: ESAKE approved the plan of Aris BC to retire Nikos Galis' number 6 jersey. Aris were allowed the use of number 16 for the missing number 6.
- 1999: Deputy Foreign Minister Yiannis Kranidiotis and his entourage were killed in an air accident in Romania.
