Vasilis Borbokis is a Greek former football right-side defender of the 1980s through 2000s era.

Borbokis was born on February 10, 1969, the younger brother of striker Stefanos Borbokis of PAOK fame.

He started his career at Apollon Kalamaria in 1986. In 1993, he transferred to AEK where he played until Sheffield United manager, Nigel Spackman, signed him for £1 million in 1997. Borbokis was a great success at United for the next two years leading them to the Division I playoffs and the FA Cup semi-finals, however, he was traded to Derby County in 1999. In midseason Borbokis returned to Greece to play for PAOK.

In 2002, Borbokis returned to AEK where he played until the end of the 2004 season. He ended his career at Anorthosis Famagusta the following year.

Borbokis was capped twice by Greece.
