Founded in the southern Salonica suburb of Kalamaria, Apollon are considered the club of Pontian Greeks who left their Black Sea homeland in 1922 and resettled in Salonica. Colours: Red and black. They have participated several times in the Greek A' National League but have yet to achieve any distinctions. Among their best players that have worn Apollon's jersey are:
