Georgios Sikeliotis, born in 1917, was a student of Konstantinos Parthenis, but one who was also strongly influenced by popular art (that of Karagiozis or the popular decorative style). He reaches maturity in the post-war period and produces significant works, some of which are to be found in the Municipal Art Gallery of Rhodes.
