John Ghyka (Greek: Ιωαννης Γκικας). Greek Educator and writer.

John was born 1871 in Corfu; died about 1950 in Alexandria, Egypt). He studied in Athens Greek Literature and obtained a PhD from the Athens University.

In 1893, he migrated to Egypt to become the chief editor of the Greek Language newspaper "Omonia", and publisher of the Greek Language journal "Kosmos". He was a very active member of the Greek community in Alexandria and around or before 1910 he established a Lyceum carrying his name.

The last 30 years of his life he was writing and publishing stories.
