Leon (king of Sparta)

Leon (Greek Λέων - lion) was a king of Sparta in c. 590—560 BC from the Agiad dynasty.

Leon was the son of Euryctratides whom he succeeded. During his reign Sparta waged war against Tegea.

He was succeeded by his son Anaxandridas II.
