Gyzi is a district of Athens that lies north of Alexandras Avenue. It is bounded by districts Polygono and Ampelokipoi and Athens suburb Kypseli.
Gyzi was named after the painter Nikolaos Gyzis. It is a densely-populated area that saw rapid development during the 1960s and 1970s. It is serviced by the number 3 line of the Athens Metro.
