Gikas Botasis was a Greek fighter and political representative during the War of Independence against the Ottoman Empire (1821 - 1829).

Botasis was born circa 1797. During the War of Independence, he was instrumental in getting his ancestral home town of Kranidi and its environs to join the war effort.

He attended the First National Assembly as a representative of Spetses between December 1821 and January 1822. Afterwards, he took part in the capture of Nafplio.

Botasis died a pauper, in Nafplio, in 1831.
