There has been a question as to the correct rendition of the Greek Μητροπολίτης into English.

When I tried a Greek to English translator, it was rendered "Metropolitan".

Wikipedia also uses "Metropolitan".

When I tried a google search on "Metropolitan Vladimir", I came up with over 10 million results. Trying "Metropolite Vladimir" as an alternative, I only came up with a few French articles.

Please use Metropolitan for Μητροπολίτης as it seems to be common usage in English. Thanks! --Irlandos 17:16, February 25, 2012 (EST)
