This article is repetitive and could be written much better. Historical inaccuracies will need to be removed (e.g. an Armenian throwing a bomb instigated the massacres of 1922, etc.) The negative comments re: US Consul Horton will have to be toned down as it is well-documented that he indeed did save Greek lives. The apologist comments about the foreign navies in Smyrna will also have to be removed as it is a historical fact, attested by several sources, that other than a Japanese merchant ship and one Italian vessel, no other ship even made an effort to save anyone. --Irlandos 15:04, April 22, 2012 (EDT)
