Georgios Kosmetatos-Fokas was a Greek ophthalmologist, university professor and member of the Academy of Athens.

Kosmetatos was born in 1876 in Argostoli on the island of Kefalonia. He studied ophthalmology, along with embryology and histology, in Paris, Munich and Vienna.

Kosmetatos taught ophthalmology at the University of Athens, between 1919 and 1947. Besides his teaching, he also ran a private clinic (1912-1927) and was a member of several Greek and international medical associations.

He was elected to the Academy of Athens in 1945. He served as its president in 1958.

Kosmetatos died in 1973.
