Ano Archanes (Greek Άνω Αρχάνες) is a town in the municipality of Archanes-Asterousia, Heraklio prefecture, Crete, Greece. Formerly, is was the seat of Archanes municipality.

The population of Archanes, according to the 2001 census, was 3,860 inhabitants.
