Dimitris Persidis was a Greek-Austrian football central defender of the 1970s era.

Peter-Dimitris Persidis was born on March 8, 1947, in Vienna. He started his career in 1967 with First Vienna before coming to Greece to play for Olympiakos in 1971.

In Greece, Persidis won three league titles and two Cups with Olympiakos in the period 1971 - 1975. He played a total of 95 games, scoring 15 goals. Afterwards, he returned to Vienna to play for Rapid. He ended his career in 1982.

Persidis was capped 7 times by Austria. He was on the roster of the team that played in the World Cup finals in 1978.

He died of cancer on January 21, 2009, at the age of 61.
