Georgios Kondilis was a Greek military and political figure of the early part of the 20th Century.

Kondilis was born on August 14, 1878 in Prousos, Evritania prefecture, in Central Greece. He volunteered for the Greek Army at age 18 and fought in the Cretan Revolution, the Macedonian struggle), the First and Second Balkan Wars and World War I.

In 1920, he entered politics as a Venizelist. After the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923, he was elected to Parliament and served as Minister under Georgios Kaphantaris and Alexandros Papanastasiou. On August 21, 1926, he brought down the Theodoros Pangalos dictatorship and conducted free elections in which he did not participate.

Kondilis returned to Parliament in 1928 as MP for Kavala. In 1932, he became Minister of the Military under Panagis Tsaldaris. By 1935, Kondilis turned into a monarchist advocating the return of King George II. When the military brought down the Tsaldaris government on October 10, 1935, Kondilis seized power and conducted a plebiscite, on November 25, 1935, to reinstate the monarchy. King George II returned and promptly forced Kondilis to resign.

Kondilis dies on January 31, 1936 of a heart attack.
