Giorgos Roussopoulos was a multi-talented Greek athlete who competed in the high jump, decathlon, volleyball and was a football goalkeeper of the 1930s - 1940s.
Roussopoulos, as a footballer, played in the pre-Alpha Ethniki era for Panionios, part of that time as player-coach. He coached the great post-WW II team which reached the final of the Greek Cup. As a coach, he discovered Nikos Pentzaropoulos and was an influence on the careers of other footballers of that era.
