Grigoris Fanaras

Grigoris Fanaras was a Greek former football goalkeeper of the 1970s - 1980s era.

Fanaras was born on January 30, 1948 in Veria. He started his career at Iraklis Thessaloniki in 1967 and played with them until the Summer of 1979. He was the captain of the team that lifted the Greek Football Cup in 1976. He ended his career at Makedonikos, playing for them in their lone Alpha Ethniki season (1982 - 1983).

Fanaras recorded a total of 224 top league appearances. Afterwards, he got involved in football in a managerial capacity for Iraklis.

He died on May 3, 2025 at the age of 77.
