Apollon Limassol FC is a Cypriot football club based in Lemesos (Limassol).
Apollon was founded on February 13, 1954. They were placed by the Cypriot Football Federation in the B Division for the 1955 season and promptly finished last with nothing but losses to show in their first year. In 1957, a crisis developed in the ranks of the other Limassol club, AEL, which resulted in many players of AEL leaving to join Apollon. As a result, Apollon won the B Division championship and were promoted into the Cypriot First Division where they have played ever since.
Apollon are the reigning champions of Cyprus having won the 2006 championship without a single loss.
