Proti is a town and a municipality in the southern part of Serres prefecture, Macedonia, Greece.
The population of the town was 1855 inhabitants, while that of the municipality 2999, according to the 2001 census.
Proti is primarily known as the home town of politician and statesman, Constantine Karamanlis, and ancestral hometown of his nephew and current PM Costas Karamanlis
