Michalis Mouroutsos is a Greek tae kwon do champion and Olympic gold medallist.

Mouroutsos was born on February 29, 1980 in Langadia, Arcadia. He began tae kwon do in 1987 and holds a sixth-degree black belt. He is an athlete of AS Dafni.

Mouroutsos won the first Olympic gold medal awarded for tae kwon do (58kg) in the 2000 Olympiad in Sydney, Australia. He also won gold at the European championship of Patra held that same year.

He is an officer in the Hellenic Navy.
