Constantinos Makrides is a Cypriot football midfielder, currently playing for Omonia Nicosia in the Cyprus Football A Division.
Makrides was born on January 13, 1982 in Nicosia. He started his career in the youth academy of Apollon Lemesos. He transferred to APOEL in 2004.
With APOEL Makrides won two championship titles and two Cups. He scored some spectacular goals (e.g. chipping the goalkeeper of Omonia from the midway line; picking up the ball in his own half and passing the entire Maccabi Tel-Aviv defence before slotting home in the UEFA Cup, etc.).
In 2008, he ventured abroad playing for Metalurg Donetsk. The following year he returned to Cyprus to play for Omonia.
Makrides has so far (August 2011) been capped 50 times by the Cyprus National Football Team.
