Spyridon "Spyros" Kontosoros was a Greek athlete in the 3000m steeplechase.

Kontosoros was born in 1947 in Corfu. He belonged to Kerkyraikos.

Kontosoros broke the Greek record for the 3000m steeplechase six times, the last time achieved in Karaiskaki Stadium on July 1, 1973 with a time of 8:25.6.

Among his accomplishments were five first-place finishes in the Panhellenic Games between 1970 and 1976.

Kontosoros finished 8th in the 1972 Olympiad with a time of 8:41.0.

He is now a university professor and a member on the board of several athletic institutions.
