Lambros Papakostas is a retired Greek athlete who competed in the high jump.

Papakostas was born on October 20, 1969, in Karditsa, Thessaly. He was an athlete of GC Karditsa and later Olympiakos. He is the current holder of the Greek records in the high jump with 2.36m (outdoor) and 2.35m (indoor).

Among his accomplishments, are silver medals in the World Indoor Championships of Barcelona (1995) and Paris (1997) and gold medals in the Balkan Games of 1994 and 1995.
