Frenaros (Greek (Το) Φρέναρος) is a town in Ammochostos province, Cyprus. It is situated west of Paralimni, 4 km southwest of Derynia, 3.5 km northwest of Sotira, 8km east of Avgorou and 5 km northeast of Liopetri.
Its population, according to the 2001 Census, was 3,306 inhabitants several of which are refugees from the occupied areas of Cyprus.
Frenaros was the home town of EOKA fighter Fotis Pittas.
