- 1923: Greek American World War I hero, George Dilboy, was reburied with full military honours in Arlington National Cemetery. The Medal of Honor winner originally was buried in Alatsata, Smyrna, Asia Minor, but his grave was desecrated in the aftermath of the seizure of that city by Turkish troops.
