Vangelis Vlachos was a Greek footballer (midfielder) of the 1980s - early 1990s era.

Vlachos was born in 1962. He started his career at AEK in 1980 and became team captain at age 21. In December 1985, he joined cross-town rivals Panathinaikos and played for the greens until 1991.

After his playing days were over, Vlachos coached a number of clubs including OFI, Panionios and Iraklis.

In the summer of 2012 he replaced Nikos Kostenoglou as coach of his former club AEK.
