Eugene T. "Gene" Rossides is a Greek-American political appointee and political lobbyist.
Rossides was born in 1927 in Brooklyn, New York, USA to Greek parents and attended Erasmus Hall High School where he quarterbacked the school's football team ("Dutchmen"). He was scouted there by Sid Luckman, himself a former Erasmus quarterback, and was brought to Columbia University.
At Columbia, Rossides quarterbacked the school Football Team ("Lions") and achieved academic excellence.
Following graduation in 1949, Rossides went into law practice and eventually came to serve in the New York State Attorney General's Office. In 1969, President Richard Nixon appointed him Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. Rossides served in that capacity until 1973.
