Kofi Amponsah is a former Ghanaian football defender who has had a long career in Greece.

Amponsah was born on April 23, 1978. He arrived in Greece in 1998 as a player of Olympiakos Piraeus but was sent on loan to Panelefsiniakos. He later returned to Olympiakos for a couple of seasons before joining PAOK.

In the Summer of 2003, Amponsah left PAOK for AEK. He has since moved on to Egaleo and Apollon Kalamaria. He ended his career in Cyprus playing for Enosi Paralimni.

Amponsah was capped 19 times for the national football team of Ghana and has played in the 2002 Cup of African Nations.
