Stathis Mavridis was a midfielder who played with distinction for Panionios during the early 1960s.
He was born in 1935 and, at a time when Panionios had such talented players as Saravakos, Dedes, Haitas and Thanasis Intzoglou, was routinely called Panionios' best player. By the mid-1960s, Mavridis was captain of the Nea Smyrni side but had a dispute with the management of his club and quit football at the height of his career.
Mavridis was capped 4 times by the Greek National Football Team scoring 1 goal.
