Anthony II of Constantinople

Anthony II of Constantinople was born in Constantinople ca. 830. He entered a monastery at age 12.

As Patriarch of Constantinople, he did much to reconcile the ill feelings between the followers of Photius the Great and Ignatius I.

His memory is celebrated on February 12.
